In short
An AI chatbot for a plumbing business answers the questions website visitors ask at any hour: do you cover my area, do you take emergency call-outs, what does a visit cost, are you licensed and insured. Nexoply answers only from the information you give it or import from your website, and says so when it doesn't know instead of guessing. It replies in 12 languages, has a free plan, and goes on your site with one line of code.
- Answers routine questions day and night: service areas, emergency call-outs, prices, estimates and hours.
- Uses only your own information, imported from your website and reviewed by you before anything is added.
- Points urgent jobs to your phone number or booking page; it doesn't take bookings or payments itself.
- Replies in 12 languages, so customers can ask in the language they're most comfortable with.
- Free plan with 100 conversations a month; works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow or custom HTML.
Why plumbers and home service businesses use an AI chatbot
When you're under a sink or up in an attic, you can't stop to answer the same questions on the phone. And many customers find your website at the worst moments: late at night with a leak, on a Sunday with a blocked drain, or while comparing three companies for a water heater replacement.
An AI chatbot sits on your website and answers those questions for you, using the details you've written down: where you work, what you charge, when you're open, and what to do in an emergency. When a job is urgent, it tells the visitor how to reach you right away. The same applies to electricians, HVAC technicians, roofers, handymen, locksmiths and other trades.
Nexoply is not a live-chat inbox where you have to reply yourself. It answers on its own, from your information only, and every conversation is saved in your dashboard so you can see what people asked.
The questions plumbing customers ask most
These are the kinds of questions a plumbing or home service website gets every week. If your assistant can answer them, you'll spend less time on the phone repeating yourself.
- “Do you do emergency call-outs? Can someone come tonight?”
- “Do you cover my town / zip code?”
- “How much is a call-out fee? Do you charge by the hour?”
- “Do you give free estimates for a new water heater?”
- “Are you licensed and insured?”
- “My pipe burst. What should I do before the plumber arrives?”
- “Do you work on weekends and holidays?”
- “Which payment methods do you accept?”
- “Do you offer a guarantee on your work?”
What information to add
The assistant can only be as good as what you tell it. Before you go live, make sure these are covered:
- Services with prices, or price ranges, and what's included (call-out fee, hourly rate, after-hours rate).
- Service areas: towns, neighborhoods or zip codes you cover, and the ones you don't.
- Emergency policy: whether you take emergency calls, at what hours, and the phone number to call.
- Opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
- How estimates work: free or paid, on site or from photos, how long they take.
- Licenses, insurance and guarantees, in your own words.
- What to do before you arrive: where to find the main stop valve, turning off the water heater, keeping the area clear.
- Payment methods and when payment is due.
- Contact details: phone, email, WhatsApp and your booking or quote request page.
Example conversation
Here's how a short late-night conversation could look for a fictional plumbing company that has added its emergency policy, service areas and prices.
- VisitorWater is dripping through my kitchen ceiling. Can someone come tonight?
- AssistantThat sounds urgent. We take emergency call-outs 24/7. Please call us now at (555) 010-0199 so we can send someone. While you wait, turn off the water at the main stop valve, usually near the water meter or where the pipe enters the house.
- VisitorDo you cover Oakwood?
- AssistantYes, Oakwood is in our service area. We also cover Riverside and Hillcrest.
- VisitorHow much is an emergency visit?
- AssistantAfter-hours emergency visits start at $149, which includes the first hour. For larger repairs we give you a price before starting the work.

| Water is dripping through my kitchen ceiling. Can someone come tonight? | That sounds urgent. We take emergency call-outs 24/7. Please call us now at (555) 010-0199 so we can send someone. While you wait, turn off the water at the main stop valve, usually near the water meter or where the pipe enters the house. |

Every answer comes from what the owner entered. If the visitor had asked about a town that isn't listed, the assistant would say it doesn't know and suggest calling.
How to set it up
Create a free account
Sign up free. You don't need an AI key or any technical setup; Nexoply runs the AI.
Import your website
Enter your website address. Nexoply reads your public pages (15 per scan on the free plan) and suggests your services, prices, FAQs, hours and service areas.
Review and fill the gaps
Approve what's right, fix what isn't, and add anything missing, especially your emergency policy and the list of areas you cover.
Customize the button
Pick a round message button or a side tab on the edge of the screen that says “Help” or “Emergency? Ask here”. Add start-screen buttons such as “Call us” or “Get a quote”, and preview it live.
Paste one line of code
Copy the install code into your website's footer, just before </body>. On WordPress, a header and footer plugin does the job; see the WordPress guide.
Open your site, ask a question, and check that it appears under Conversations in your dashboard. More detail is on how it works.
Tips for trades and home services
- Put your emergency phone number in your information and on a start-screen button, so it's one tap away on a phone.
- Write prices the way you'd say them on the phone: “from $89”, “$120 per hour”, “free estimate for installations”.
- List the areas you don't cover too. It saves you calls from outside your area.
- Check the list of questions the assistant couldn't answer every week or two, and turn the good ones into FAQs in one click.

Frequently asked questions
Can the chatbot book jobs for me?
Not by itself. Nexoply doesn't take bookings or payments, but it can send visitors to your booking or quote request page, your phone number or WhatsApp.
What happens if a customer asks something I haven't added?
The assistant is instructed to say it doesn't know instead of guessing, and to point the visitor to your contact details. The question is listed in your dashboard so you can add the answer.
Will it give out wrong prices?
It answers only from the prices you entered or approved from your website. Like any AI it isn't perfect, so you can review every conversation in the dashboard and correct your information at any time.
Can it answer in Spanish or other languages?
Yes. It works in 12 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Chinese. Visitors who write in one of them get answers in that language.
Can I turn it off when I'm fully booked?
Yes, one switch turns it off. Changes made in the dashboard appear on your website within about a minute.
