In short
An AI chatbot for a salon answers the questions clients ask before they book: how much a cut or color costs, which services you offer, what your cancellation and late policy is, and where to book. Nexoply answers only from the information you give it or import from your website, and says so when it doesn't know. It replies in 12 languages, links to your own booking page, has a free plan and is added with one line of code.
- Answers price, service and policy questions at any hour, including while you're with a client.
- Uses only your own price list and policies, imported from your website and approved by you.
- Sends clients to your existing booking page, phone or WhatsApp; it doesn't take bookings or payments itself.
- Replies in 12 languages, handy for tourists and multilingual neighborhoods.
- Free plan with 100 conversations a month; works on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or custom HTML.
Why salons and barbershops use an AI chatbot
Your hands are busy with scissors, foils or a gel manicure, and your phone keeps buzzing with the same questions. How much is balayage? Do you do beard trims? Is there a fee if I cancel? Many of those messages arrive in the evening, after you've closed, when a client is finally free to plan their next appointment.
An AI chatbot on your website answers those questions for you, using your own price list, service menu and policies. When the client is ready, it sends them to the booking system you already use. The same works for barbershops, nail and lash studios, beauty salons, spas and brow bars.
Nexoply isn't a live-chat inbox you have to watch. It replies on its own from your information only, and every conversation is saved in your dashboard.
The questions salon clients ask most
- “How much is a women's cut and blow-dry?”
- “Do you do balayage? How long does it take?”
- “How do I book? Can I book online?”
- “What's your cancellation policy? Do you charge if I'm late?”
- “Do you take walk-ins?”
- “Do you do curly hair / kids' cuts / beard trims?”
- “Which products do you use and sell?”
- “Do I need a patch test before coloring?”
- “Is there parking nearby?”
What information to add
The more complete your information, the better the answers. Here's a checklist for a salon:
- Service menu with prices, written the way you quote them (“from $45”, “$20 extra for long hair”), and how long each service takes.
- Your booking link, plus phone and WhatsApp for clients who prefer to call or message.
- Cancellation, no-show and late policy: notice required, fees, deposits.
- Walk-in policy and your opening hours, including late nights and holidays.
- Who does what, if clients book a specific stylist or barber.
- Products you use and sell, and any brands you're known for.
- Consultations and patch tests: when they're needed and how to book them.
- Gift cards, packages or loyalty offers, if you have them.
- Address, parking and accessibility.
Example conversation
Here's how a short evening conversation could look for a fictional salon that has added its price list, booking link and policies.
- VisitorHow much is balayage for shoulder-length hair?
- AssistantBalayage starts at $140 and takes about 3 hours. Long or very thick hair may cost more; your stylist will confirm the price at your consultation.
- VisitorWhat if I need to cancel?
- AssistantPlease give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice, or no-shows, are charged 50% of the service price.
- VisitorGreat, how do I book?
- AssistantYou can book online on our booking page, or call us at (555) 010-0142 during opening hours.
| Visitor | Assistant |
|---|---|
| How much is balayage for shoulder-length hair? | Balayage starts at $140 and takes about 3 hours. Long or very thick hair may cost more; your stylist will confirm the price at your consultation. |
| What if I need to cancel? | Please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice, or no-shows, are charged 50% of the service price. |
| Great, how do I book? | You can book online on our booking page, or call us at (555) 010-0142 during opening hours. |
The assistant sends the visitor to the salon's own booking page; the booking itself happens there, not in the chat.
How to set it up
Create a free account
Sign up free. No AI key and no technical setup; Nexoply runs the AI.
Import your website
Enter your website address. Nexoply reads your public pages, including your price list, and suggests services, prices, FAQs, policies and hours.
Review your prices and policies
Check every price and add anything the website doesn't say, such as your late policy or walk-in rules.
Make it look like your salon
Match your colors and logo, choose a round button or a side tab that says “Help” or “Prices & booking”, and add start-screen buttons like “Book now”, “Prices” and “WhatsApp”. The live preview shows the result.
Paste one line of code
Copy the install code into your site's footer, just before </body>. On Wix it goes in Settings, Custom Code (premium plan with a connected domain needed); see the Wix guide.
Open your site, ask a question, and check it appears under Conversations. See how it works for more.
Tips for salons
- Write your cancellation policy once, clearly, and let the assistant repeat it. It sounds the same every time and saves awkward conversations.
- Put “Book now” as the first start-screen button so clients who already know what they want get there in one tap.
- If prices depend on hair length or stylist level, say so in the price itself: “from $65, depends on length”.
- Look at the questions the assistant couldn't answer and turn the useful ones into FAQs in one click.

Frequently asked questions
Can the chatbot book appointments in my booking system?
No. Nexoply doesn't take bookings itself, but it links to the booking page you already use, and to your phone or WhatsApp.
My prices vary by hair length. Can it handle that?
Yes, as long as you write it down, for example “from $65, long hair $85”. The assistant quotes prices as you listed them and doesn't invent new ones.
Will it answer questions about hair or skin problems?
It answers from your salon's information only. For anything it doesn't know, such as whether a treatment suits someone's scalp, it says it doesn't know and suggests contacting you or booking a consultation.
Can I see what clients are asking?
Yes. Every conversation is in the dashboard, with topics, busiest times and the questions it couldn't answer.
Does it work on Wix or Squarespace?
Yes. It works on any site where you can add a script tag. Wix needs a premium plan with a connected domain for custom code; Squarespace needs the Business plan or higher for code injection.
